Creative Director
Mallory Roynon is the Creative Director and Co-Founder of Daughters, a creative agency focused on building brands with strong points of view, cultural relevance, and a little bit of attitude. Raised in Ohio riding horses and growing up with a mother who worked as a creative director, creativity was always part of daily life — even if the path into the industry itself felt anything but obvious. Most recently, she led the redesign and rebrand of Playboy, helping reshape one of the world’s most recognizable media brands for a new era. Before that, she spent over four years as Creative Director of Cosmopolitan, where she led a major redesign and helped evolve the brand’s visual identity and voice for a new generation of women. Her career has spanned titles including Elle Decor, Airbnb Magazine, Good Housekeeping, WWD, and Esquire, with work recognized by the Society of Publication Designers, Art Directors Club, American Illustration, American Photography, and Hearst Excellence Redesign of the Year award. Somewhere along the way, she also commissioned a magazine cover that ended up in the Smithsonian’s permanent collection — which still feels slightly surreal to the girl from Ohio.jx
